Rocketman is the customer pushing for this to be taken further or is she satisfied with an apology from you?

Is she looking for compensation from RM or you?

Accidents can happen to other peoples property while you're on delivery, it wasnt deliberate. Can you come to an arrangement with the customer so that you pay for the blind to be replaced? If RM don't have to compensate her for the damage then i can't see what your DOM can do against you.

"Failure to follow correct delivery procedures"... What's that supposed to mean? You didn't doorstep the packet. You made sure it was delivered into her house, out of sight. A small accident occured as a result, so what? If you can come to a satisfactory agreement with the customer i would say it should be the end of the matter. If i were you, i would demand to know from my DOM exactly where it states that delivering a packet into a customers house can set off a Disciplinary Procedure against you.

So some householders property was damaged but the item was deliverd to a safe place and royalmail are insured for pubilc illability insurance and you may have made a slight error of judgdment but you will never do it again will you. And who coached you in these practices and if the householders dog bit you would it be shot on site or you came to injure youself on their property would they be imprisoned! FOR YOUR DOM IS BULLYING YOU AND YOU DO NOT DESERVE TO BE CASTIGATED BY A VINDICTIVE BULLY LIKE HIM!. :cfo & :lfo

She can only claim for any items damaged as a result of your action. If she tries to claim for anything else that would be fraud. If your DOM agrees to let her claim for anything except the damaged blind, i would ask in a very loud voice, in front of witnesses, what his relationship is to her and why he would allow someone to make a fraudulent claim against RM.

As i said previously, if you can come to an agreement with her to replace the blind out of your own pocket, then your DOM should not be able to take any action against you, the matter will have been dealt with between you and the householder.

he said he would still discipline me even if i did pay for her new blinds , its the area manager thats doing the meeting on friday
