Probably Sun & DM readers, it's odd how those papers are so right wing now, when probably a fair number of their readers are Labour supporters. I guess we'll be lumped with the train drivers has just being greedy asking for a reasonable pay rise.

Anyone who expects public support is seriously deluded.

They've always been right-wing papers, though they'll support Labour when it suits which says a lot about Labour's policies when they do. The DM supported the Nazi party and Oswald Mosley's fascist movement. And just ask anyone in Liverpool if the Sun is on the side of the people.

I had a conversation with a right-leaning gentleman who thinks unions should be abolished. After mentioning annualised hours he thought we should strike, but I had to promise to not tell anyone he said it should he lose respect in the village. The facts are strong enough for most.

The media is our problem. They will have us looking like gready gits working the easiest job in the country.

This strike isn't about annualised hours or any of the strings. The union is still negotiating about these. This strike ballot is purely about a no strings pay rise which should be much closer to 11% than the 2% imposed on us.

Funny how all the good will and clapping of key workers is forgotten as soon as we fight for our rights and conditions. Its probably all those who had a nice holiday being furloughed while we were risking our lives over a virus no one really knew how dangerous it was in the early days who are moaning.

It’s the usual “posties are lazy” and “other carriers are so much better” also “who sends letter anymore”. Ironically these are the same people who complain when they haven’t had any Mail for a week. Good job Twitter doesn’t represent the real world.

You must start realising just how fickle a lot of people are now. Hero's in the pandemic - in their minds now THAT WAS YESTERDAY, FORGOTTEN TODAY.

Too many people on here keep going on about what they've done, it matters not to todays society....very sadly.

Well near to 11% just will not happen. And with IMPORTANT letters at an all time low and so many other alternatives to get your parcels delivered now, any strike action will not have anywhere near the impact that it would have had a few years ago........SADLY.

Nice to see journalists... who get over £100k a year to phone in 1000 words a week from home... comparing rail workers, posties and anyone else who dares ask for a reasonable wage to other workers on less, and never mentioning the millions these companies throw at shareholders each year (a large percentage of which goes straight to other countries.)

It's almost as though the country is run by journalists...

The state of absorption routes and the shocking service they get won't help our public image either, I've had 3 people come up and moan at me this week about it

Maybe these journalists, should see when Mail don't go out and get told to concentrate on tracked parcels and d2ds .Also should be asking why turnover of staff is so high. How about going undercover, state of the parcels bundled in york, non tracked parcels just chucked in grey bags ,go out when they go out.Ofcom in my opinion just get payed off.As we all know the bullshit that goes on.Public got a bad image of us as they think we are still in the 90s.5am start home by 11.Used to proud of working for RM especially through covid.Cant wait to leave after 10yrs.
