Do they have your full name on them or just your 1st name? Don't want the public knowing my full name.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

I lost mine over a year ago!

Post by andy2007 »

I lost mine overr a year ago, when the clip came off it at some point during the Shift. I asked for a replacement, and chased it up for a few weeks. In the end, I just gave up, as no-one checks them anyway. Dispite signs in Reception stating that no-one can enter the Building without one (or a Visitors ID).

Did'nt people used to get disciplined for loosing there badge? I'm sure when I originally started back in the 80's that was the case. I've been back nearly 5 years now and have never had a badge or any form of ID.

They accepted the fact that it was an accident, as I had tipped a few Red Curtainsiders, which had been loaded from outside. The Photo IDs have a plastic attatchment to the metal clip. So when I kept squeezing between the curtain and the cages, to get at the straps, it broke.

Luckily, you can get a neck strap for them now, which seem more sturdy. I just wish they'd get on with providing a replacement, as mine either went to Scotland or Ireland!
