Why is our union hierarchy repeating to each other in Liverpool what we all already have known for as long as I can remember. Time for some action. Enough of the delaying tactics. We've seen it all before.

The lovely Conservative party have made it very,very tricky to organise & execute a successful strike ballot. Basically there is a strict protocol the CWU have to follow.

Unfortunately,it is not a case of just saying - we don’t agree with you & firing out the papers.

The Tories do not want the working class to have a voice!!

6th June is the last day for CWU's DRP and tomorrow for RM's...
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Sorry for those of you trying to explain away CWUs procrastination it was really a sort of rhetorical question. Let me be more explicit. Why is our union choosing to delay any ballot for strike action longer than they legally have to?

Let’s hope they maybe have an acceptable offer now on the table, I doubt it but I’m sure they will let us know shortly.

To be fair there's always a grace period at the end of any mediation process (usually 1- 2 weeks) to allow for a possible change of heart.

Is there any point on this occasion?

I hope when they do announce it it will be all over bbc,itv,sky,channel 4,5 , make it a massive announcement not like years gone by a 5 second clip and you miss it. Come on comms lets ramp it up and put the pressure on lets see your best.

I think 5 mins will be generous in the news given how there's still the war in Ukraine going on and other more important news

RMT grabbing all the headlines at the moment - people not being able to get to work/school/hospital appointments tends
to concentrate peoples minds. We'll (CWU) be well behind the curve and be branded in the main stream right leaning media
as 70's dinosaurs in a dying industry that needs modernising.

The bizarre thing is that the biggest disruption will come from the drivers striking who are mostly represented by ASLEF not RMT.
