A national march and rally will take place Saturday January 19th outside the BURSLEM DELIVERY OFFICE,SCOTIA BUSINESS PARK,SCOTIA ROAD,STOKE-ON-TRENT.ST6 4RG. starting at 1.30pm.March will set off at 2pm. Rally will be chaired by CWU President Jane Loftus,with guest speakers Billy Hayes(GS),Dave Ward(DGS),Joan Walley(local MP),Lee Barron(Midlands reg secretary),Midland No.7 branch,1 of the Burslem 12. Immediately after the rally,their is a benefit gig at Burslem Working Mens Club,Newport Lane. with bands playing for free.Everybody welcome,but if you want to stay over and have a drink,book your Hotel accomadation early,as space is limited due to 200 Royal Mail managers delivering the ST6 area.Look forward to seeing you all tomorrow.Thankyou all for your support and donations.SOLIDARITY IS STRENGTH!

I walked it carrying a banner, It must have been close to 5 miles and nearly all up hill, but I'd gladly do it again to show my support. A fantastic turnout from branches up and down the country. We need som pic's put up as soon as possible.

Thanks to everyone who turned up yesterday for the rally, it was an stunning sight to look back from the front and see all banners being proudly carried , so to everyone who turned up be proud to say i was part of the Burslem rally. This will show RM we will not be bullied by these corrupt managers.

Can I say a big thankyou from all at Burslem Delivery Office,for your marvellous support at yesterdays rally.At the start when you lined either side of the street and applauded us,was a bit emotional and overwhelming,but made us feel so proud of what we are trying to achieve.It was absolutely amazing to see fellow offices banners from Edinburgh,Stockport,Oldham,Harrow,Exeter to name just a few.YOU ALL SHOULD BE APPLAUDED TOO FOR YOUR EFFORTS AND SOLIDARITY FOR SHOWING SUCH SUPPORT,UNITY AND STRENGTH.You are all a credit to the UNION,and we should all stand together shoulder to shoulder to battle Royal Mail and put an end once and for all to these Union busting tactics deployed by Royal Mail management,and to protect our jobs.I was leading the rally at the front,and when we finally arrived at Hanley,to look back and see the length of the march trailing back virtually up to Cobridge lights,made you truly believe that yesterday you were part of something special,and of something all our comrades can look back on and say we created a part of history,as a member of the public said,WE HAVE SEEN NOTHING LIKE THIS SINCE THE MINERS STRIKE.I would say there were an estimated thousand people that turned up to offer there support,and yesterday alone we had donations of over £17,000 which is a great effort,and one which all of us at BURSLEM DO cannot thank you all enough for.This fight for justice is as much your fight as ours,and one which we cannot afford to lose,and I say to all our fellow offices,any dispute that you may find yourself defending in the future,YOU CAN GUARANTEE BURSLEM WILL BE WITH YOU ALL THE WAY,and will contribute what it can.
Once again,thankyou all,to think a mickey mouse office like BURSLEM can gain such support is amazing.AND A MESSAGE TO TOM WILLIS,IF YOU TRULY BELIEVE WE ARE ISOLATED AT BURSLEM,THINK AGAIN.This march is just the beginning.EVERY OFFICE IN THE UK IS UNITED,AND TOGETHER WE WILL GET JUSTICE.

i was at the march and felt very humbled to have a pint with some of the members at the office. great people and this is a dispute we have to win or our own office or yours could be next!
