Yeah. Was 18k last year 3 years paid in.Hyrrokkin wrote: ↑12 May 2022, 17:15Is that figure right ? Well done if it isDuran wrote: ↑12 May 2022, 13:57Just got off the phone with pensions. Mine is over £24,000 to end March 2022. They did confirm you can take a small percentage of it with NRA60 .Without taking NRA65. Depends if you take max lump sum from NRA60. Might work out better to take highest monthly pension and boost tax free lump sum from cash balance.
Also said new pension scheme wont start this year.

It’s as official as the guy on the other end of the phone told me. Not gonna happen in September . Which we were all told was the estimated start date. Will be 2023.

It will at least gives us more time to save in our current AVCs to build up a bigger lump sum without sacrificing the lump sum.

I hope the new pension scheme doesn’t kick in for at least another 4 years. Im satisfied with a cash balance return 6k per year plus interest.

Probably start next April. Right in the middle of the war with Putin, so I expect a rocky few years.

I remember visiting a disused nuclear Government shelter. And the guide mentioned that in the time of an attack people such as posties would be used to pass on information from one bunker to the next! On a bike! So even them we were considered essential workers!Duran wrote: ↑13 May 2022, 13:25

That reminds me of an old Jethro Tull song with the verse "They said protect and you'll survive ---
(But our postman didn't call)
8lbs. of over-pressure wave seemed to glue him to the wall
They said protect and you'll survive!"
