Re: Tracked parcel fiddle
We don't have the time to compare the sender with a list of "big companies". It's either RP surcharge the lot or we don't send any over to RP

Re: Tracked parcel fiddle
Tracked customers have a flatrate contract with RM and all their tracked 48 shipments are charged at the same price regardless of the weight declared on the label - please see below explanation summarising how this service works
• All tracked products are profile priced which means customers pay a set price based on the average weight/size of items they send; this means various sizes/weights will be seen in the network.
• Labels generally show default weights and are not accurate to the profile set up for customers.
The Revenue Protection Team have set-up a new email address RPUK@royalmail.com which is designed to provide any RM employee to raise any revenue concerns they may have or have identified and require additional support to understand the process they need to follow or understand what processes are already in place to cover some of these revenue concerns RM employees identify.
Chris has completed an OPS Bulletin detailing the current processes in place & processes OPS need to follow. If anyone wants a copy of this please contact Chris or the team on the email address above.
Duplicated barcodes are known about and in RP Centre we run reports from the scanning to pick up duplicated barcodes and charge the customers. So it is so important to continue scanning and and indicating that it is a second parcel. Hope that helps

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Christopher Burke
Hi Everyone - I work in the National Revenue Protection Team and I am the Lead Resolution Manager. I would like to take this great opportunity to provide my contact details enabling anyone in Royal Mail to contact me for help & support if they have any revenue concerns or issues within their units and are seeking further clarification on how to deal with these issues identified.
These issues could be around unpaid items or billing issues i.e. Web-Browser enquires, Customer items received that have duplicate labels, Tracked labels bearing an underdeclared shipment weight or any other Unpaid Revenue concerns you or your staff have currently or have previously experienced.
Over the years I have supported many Delivery Offices and provided them with answers to resolve issues on items that are not paid correctly and also helping reaffirm the process of ensuring all surcharge items are sent to the local RP unit for ‘yellow sticker’ surcharging if applicable. I have found that frontline engagement has helped us understand wider issues and act faster at resolving national customer and service issues to ensure we are fairly paid for the services we provide. So please feel free to contact me at Christopher.Burke@royalmail.com or 07841569088.

Re: Tracked parcel fiddle
I'll add something to the discussion, if I ask for an odd day off the answer is no, if I want to change my holidays the answer is no, in fact anything I ask for the answer is no or it's too much trouble or its leave it with me then that's the last I hear about it so sorry but I couldn't give a f**k if a parcel says an obviously incorrect weight on its label, if you want conscientious workers then perhaps offer a bit more respect.
