This is one for Robert I suspect.
I joined RM in 93 foolishly didn't start contributing to pension until around 96. Left RM around 03 then rejoined in 05. I think I get 2 different pension statements at different times of the year. Is there a way to combine the 2 existing pots and get a better forecast of my potential figure I'm 49 now and ideally would go between 55-60 depending on the numbers.
Is it just a case of sitting on the phone to the pensions helpline?

Re: Breaks in service
The first thing you need to find out, is if all of your RM service is included in your annual statements. As I think there was someone on here a while back who had split service and only the second part was on there's.
You can only do that by contacting the helplines.
Also bear in mind that you will have statements from the RMSPS which is for pension up to 2012, and the RMPP which is from 2012 onwards.
They won't be combining those statements anytime soon(as they only separated them 3 years ago). But you just need to add a few numbers up from them to find out your total benefits.
There are some handy video tutorials in the media library of the RMPP website which might help: https://www.royalmailpensionplan.co.uk/
