My Poll Card is C5 , there are Delivered By Council Staff

I've spoken to some Council Employees that have delivered Poll Cards in the past. It's just a case of the Council finding it cheaper to pay their own staff instead of Royal Mail. Obviously the Council's Accountants have sharper pencils than RM's do.

The " minute test " is the only union agreed test regarding prep. And measures how many items you can prep in one minute ( this even includes mis sorts , which you discard onto the frame ( onto the mis sort pile ) ) I don't know what the target number of items is and the test can only be " forced " upon an established duty holder...the point is that any duty holder could meet the requirement easily. I've had it done to me and passed....

It's pointless really and is usually deployed by a narcissistic manager who wants to try and blame the postie for the size or failure of the walk. If it happens, do it and pass it and see it as an insight into the tiny mind of the DOM. Then ask the DOM to show you a copy of The Workload Management Document " read it, deploy it as an office and overnight, you have changed the power dynamic, you now hold the power ...

Ask the manager to show you the rate as you time him! ps they cannot do it 99% of the time some are unable to work out which way the letters go in the slots!
