About 1k is the max that it's possible to do in an hour on a conveyor. It's going to partly depend on how many selections there aredenhamhoop wrote: ↑30 Apr 2022, 18:43If you can scan and sort 1800 Tracked Items in a Half Hour Period they would love you at my MC 600 to 800 an hour is good going dependent on the size of and the ease of finding the sweet spot for the 3D/2D codeclashcityrocker wrote: ↑30 Apr 2022, 15:42Given that it takes about a second to scan a packet you would get a 30 minute increase in your contract if you were having to scan 1800 parcels every morning.2yearpostie wrote: ↑30 Apr 2022, 15:21
Wow, so everyone would have to have at least 30 min uplift in their contract to be able to do that.
Do you deliver 1800 Tracked parcels every day? No - then stop talking shite.

Might be a little ritual like chucking salt over your shoulder to bring good luck when delivering Tracked that he hits his target delivery time to help the DIM get his bonusclashcityrocker wrote: ↑30 Apr 2022, 19:19You are correct. They probably would love me in your MC. That's why everyone calls me Raymond.denhamhoop wrote: ↑30 Apr 2022, 18:43

The point is in a DO you have to sort the packets anyway. All you might be asked to do is scan it as well, which as the other poster who actually does it states takes about a second. Having to RFD the Tracked packets at your frame would not necessitate a 30 minute increase in contracted hours unless you had to stop and scratch your fat hairy arse in between each scan.

We've been doing this for ages now. Can't actually remember how long. Pre covid though, so 2½ years or so.jessicarabbit wrote: ↑30 Apr 2022, 07:15One of the things being looked at is to move the ready for delivery scan to the postman prepping the delivery. This would ensure it would only get the scan and the associated notification if it was definitely going out that day. It was trialed in places during covid and could get a wider roll out soon.

Odd why there's not a SOP for it. We still have early guys come in to just scan and breakdown into our postcode sections. I suspect individual scanning is more time efficient but having dedicated guys doing in the morning captures more of them and helps with pulling out the inflights. If a delivery isn't getting prepped til later in day or even not all it would miss getting pulled out and sent some where or some time different.
