Re: Poll : Should Simon resign?
It seems Super Si is questioning the pay that union officials get.
Royal Mail
failing the workforce, failing the public and deliberately failing mail on a daily basis for too many years.

Right then, game on.
How much did Super Si make from the dividend payment? How much are the top 10 directors worth and how much have they made. Questions really do need to be asked why a company has paid out over 50% of profits to shareholders

OPG
I know it's a different pot. But the way a lot of people will see it is its £400m more that could have been invested in your team.
Simon 'Nobody likes me' Thompson
no that isn't the case - Jenny Hall how are you getting on with the post that will explain?
the narrative is £400m of Posties money given to shareholders - we are aware of the source of the campaign - same team that drove the Watchdog pre- Christmas Chelmsford TV article - we heard the same in Parliament earlier in the week - from https://members.parliament.uk/member/4510/contact - it is an orchestrated campaigning narrative - it’s simplicity, although wrong, is smart…
Jenny 'Unfortunately' Hall
yep we’ll do a short video to explain the difference on dividends and pay etc in the next few days

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Can't wait for the condescending "you guys just don't understand the complex world of corporate finance" video Jenny.
I'm expecting lots of charts and pretty colours and stuff. No big words.

Posting crap links about the economy or how other firms work on Workplace, the latest one about P&O...
Simon ' You guys got it easy' Thompson
my point is we don't work that way - but it is important to see what others do
I Wonder how Doris at Asda is getting on?

What a shocking way to run a company and communicate with your work force. I quite liked Simon when he first joined but he’s really disgusted me over the last few months.

Same, he seemed like a nice bloke when he arrived but he’s let his mask slip recently. Seems when the going gets tough his true colours come out.

The board didn't appoint him because he was a nice guy.
It has just taken a few of you a rather long time to remove the beer goggles.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Nothing to do with masks just pure unbridled capitalism and opportunism and lack of talent and acumen just look at what test and trace cost us all as a nation £37 billion pounds or 2/3 the whole NHS budget are we really going to to take his offer?number one wrote: ↑28 Apr 2022, 18:53

Re: Poll : Should Simon resign?
He’s not only a selfish smiley narcissist but we can add coward to that too. Won’t meet for the pay negotiations himself with the Cwu instead sending a negotiating “team”. Trying to make out he has no say or input in offering us penny’s whilst he sits there lording over everyone questioning our performance and sickness on workplace. He’s on 41k a month and will be off in about 18 months with a big fat thank you bonus for screwing the hard working underpaid staff.

He doesn't even come in to work much...
Simon 'Where's the TV remote?' Thompson
for me - a day or two in the office, at least one day in the operation, balance at home - my commute to HQ is 4 hours there and back -
