Nothing like a Trust Survey to give you the hope of significant change in your unit. In essence it makes matters worse as this hope is transformed into disgust when staff feel not listened to. Last few survey we had good participation and very bad results and literally nothing done about it
A good idea on paper but an absolute shitshow in practise

97228 people didn’t participate did they ;liar
I very much doubt it. Not a word was mentioned about it it in our DO. If it hadn't been for this forum I wouldn't have known it was going on at all
The number of responses received is not necessarily the number of colleagues who participated if multiple responses occurred.

Yes, very true. Although the mind boggles at the thought of anyone wanting to and actually submitting multiple responses...

The Engagement & Trust scores are represented by 8 questions in the survey. So these percentages could be influenced either in positive or negative way. I suppose the point is that the survey is/was open to abuse.

It was encouraged in some offices (allegedly) it should be obvious to the number crunchers when compared to previous returns.

According to this LTB I believe the bonus in linked to the Trust Index Score - Not the participation rate.
No. 083/22
25th February 2022

It is worth noting that the 5 key questions that make up the Royal Mail Trust Score have a gateway of 70% on a national basis for managerial bonuses. This is a massive departure from the previous surveys and will be the first time that our members have a genuine opportunity to express a view on how they feel they are treated in the workplace which can reflect on how they are positively or negatively managed, which could have an impact on managerial reward. The results of this survey will therefore provide the best indication to date whether trust is improving.

So you had the massive push, also from the 700 screws that will be losing their jobs.
Lots of cakes, biccies, fizzy pop, balloons and banners.
97,228 went for it.
5 minutes later the pay rise figures come out.

Big Trust Survey 2022 action planning – ‘Talk’

The whole team should be involved in the conversation about your Big Trust Survey results.

This is the opportunity to get involved in an open discussion about results – everyone has a part to play in this conversation. It’s important to take the time to celebrate the successes you have had over the last year as a team, but also to discuss the challenges you still have and how you can build a plan together to address these.

This feedback will help build a trust action plan which tackles what’s important to you locally.

We really want to see all the fantastic work going on across the wider organisation, so please get involved with sharing on Workplace and tag us!
There is additional support for managers for this step of the process in the Action Planning Toolkit.

If you have any questions on results or action planning, we are happy to help. Please drop an email to culture.engagement.team@royalmail.com

"The whole team should be involved in the conversation about your Big Trust Survey results."

Given that few people have any spare time to fart in our office (though sadly the same few manage to squeeze one out anyway) when are we supposed to have this chat. Yet again the assumption that we all sit around doing f**k all and waiting for some twat from above to find something else to fill the endless free time we supposedly have.

Any last remaining bit of "trust" got flushed down the loo when we were stabbed in the back by the pay offer.

So managers bonus is linked to the results of the survey. We've already established that the results can be influenced by multiple submissions by the same person. What if managers submit multiple positive reviews? Surely this is open to serious corruption. Crazy
