Welcome mate, glad to hear the above, all of it.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Royal Mail bosses, where they are the clots, they breed pink shirts, and are panicking because of a nearly assured YES Vote.

Did you get that card this morning? All nice quotes from postal workers (allegedly) telling us to vote NO. I binned mine, but one of these nuggets said something like "I talked it over with my family, my wife and kids and my parents. We all decided we had too much to lose, so I voted no."TrueBlueTerrier wrote:Hello SWB, well done forst joining the fastest growing forum for any connected in anyway with RM.

I was thinking, if my mum and dad were alive and I was thinking of voting with the bosses and told them, they would never have spoken to me again, and they would have been right. Imagine coming home to the wife and kids: "Alright girl! Are the kids in?" "They're watching the television." "Right, I was thinking of voting against the union. Really, it's a top job and things couldn't be better. The boss says we're underworked and over paid." "A bit like Prince Philip dad?" "Exactly like Prince Philip an he's also a royal male." "But dad, if you scab, how will we be able to show our faces in the street again?" "Never mind all that kids. Our company is in deep trouble and it's up to me to provide Mr Crozier with another million quid next year. The poor man can't manage on less." "Right dad. Then you vote no. We don't mind everyone laughing and sniggering at us if it's for Mr Crozier. I think I'll drop the queen a line and see if we can get him a knighthood. He'll be just like that other famous knight then." "Which one kids?" "Sir Oswald Moseley. He was an establishment favourite too dad and just like Crozier, a dodgy looking right-wing nut case." "Nice one kids! While your at it, see if you can get some carbolic soap for Leighton's mouth."

My god the thought is so scary Mosley's Blackshirts followed 70/80 years later by a march through the East End with Leighton's army of Pink shirt's. I'm going to have nightmares tonight thanks.

It wouldn't happen mate. Leighton's army wouldn't get ten feet before being lifted by the police for swearing in a public place.TrueBlueTerrier wrote:My god the thought is so scary Mosley's Blackshirts followed 70/80 years later by a march through the East End with Leighton's army of Pink shirt's.
