Yup, just switch off work your hours and go home.Hanzey wrote: ↑30 Mar 2022, 13:03Royal Mail will keep pushing and pushing, taking and taking because the staff take it personally when they can't complete.
Too many staff take too much personal responsibility with the mail.
If you've got time to deliver it then do so. If not then cut off and return it to the DO.

Re: Revision. How has this happened?
Super Si has said that the business has employed 3000+ 'extra' posties in the last 12 months, that's without the offices that still need bods.
Savings, what savings?

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: Revision. How has this happened?
It's because the people at the top think some 'revision experts' with a laptop with a mapping application is the best way to do a revision....
For the love of god!....
You have Posties who do these rounds on a daily basis.... why the heck do you need to employ a 'revision expert' or whatever they are called...also what is this mapping technology? is it something Royal Mail paid a fortune for?....
Speak to the Posties who walk the route, who know the shortcuts, who know the most efficient order to deliver them in....
Most jobs were fair before the revision so they didn't even need someone on a computer going through the job for 2 hours+ working out if it's fair when you could have asked the Posties who have done the job!
The lack of common sense is mind blowing.

Re: Revision. How has this happened?
That all comes from the “them and us” culture. We are not to be trusted in their eyes. Even in offices where posties have had an input and put the jobs in the correct order the computer systems has overridden them as it doesn’t believe the workers know better than the computer software. Makes u laugh when the CEO calls everyone “team” in every sentence.norris9 wrote: ↑01 Apr 2022, 22:08It's because the people at the top think some 'revision experts' with a laptop with a mapping application is the best way to do a revision....

You show no trust in your hardworking workforce - you lose your workforce.

The posties deserve a management that cares about the service and staff but most of all they need a union that will fight for the members unfortunately they have neither

Re: Revision. How has this happened?
That revision was the beginning of the end of the job. Idiotic runners and a lacklustre union helped the management finish it off.burtons wrote: ↑03 Apr 2022, 21:34I remember the 2010 revision in my office at the time ,complete disaster p and l bought in .the management generally believed we were taking the mic,at least 2 rounds put back in,some left with stress sick etc,no trust at all.glad I'm not there anymore. if the rounds are bigger and cutting off like we did back in 2010.must be stressful guys and gals, good look to you all,you deserve alot better...

Re: Revision. How has this happened?
All by design. They know full well the duties are too big but they will never admit it. They rely on the numpties who come in early for free, don’t take breaks etc. Now you either do more work in less time or go over to complete, or cut off and face b&h from management. The latter are in the minority, and RM/cwu don’t care.

Re: Revision. How has this happened?
It is simple maths:
If you have a crap planner you get a crap revision.
If you have crap managers who poorly implement a crap planner's revision you get a double crap revision.
If you have a crap union who don't properly oversee the crap the planning and the crap implementation you get a triple crap revision.
That is where most of us are. In the triple crap category.

The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.
