DHL - Royal Warrant

Post by Lounge Lizard »

Her Majesty the Queen is fortunate enough to have her very own postal service, perfected over nearly four centuries, offering a wide range of services and with all its postage stamps bearing her image. Why then did she give a Royal Warrant for 'courier services and logistics' first to Omega and now to DHL ?

Dunno, maybe ...

1. Because she is both a parasite and an anachronism.

or

2. Because the corgis told her to.

I'm sure that the queen is blistfully unaware of the fact that the ROYAL mail does not have a royal warrant. The royal household has handed out hundreds of royal warrants over the years and has for some reason constantly overlooked our company and I'm sure that can be the only reason.

You'd love my dog he is very intelligent!

No the reason she has promulgated DHL is because the real name of the House of Windsor is Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, it was changed in 1917 or so because of the anti german feelings and the Royal Family were afraid of a backlash like the Russian Revolution.

Blimey, Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, apart from being a mouthfull, I thought that was the name of Germany's premier porn star of the 1970s. Oooh err, mouthfull,
pornstar, perhaps there is a connection after all? :Very Happy

Royal Warrants are for companies or tradespeople, not for Public Servants.

Royal Mail is a 'Public Limited COMPANY', the shareholding of which just happens to be with the Government. The idea of us being Public Servants has gradually gone since the ending of the GPO in October 1969.
