Your DOM is going against Royal Mail's statement put up on the 'Workplace' app, it said 'If you test positive for Covid, you are still advised to stay at home and avoid contact with others for at least five full days.' 'If you have symptoms of Covid-19, you have a personal responsibility to protect yourself and others by staying at home.'

There is too much emphasis on the 5 days as well, as if it's “right, you've had 5 days, back to work.”

The bit that keeps being left out, deliberately or not you be the judge, is that you are meant to keep testing and remain in isolation until you've had 2 negative tests in a row (on consecutive days) before returning to 'your normal routine'. People are returning to work whilst positive, due to intimidation or worry over stages, and thus the cycle continues as they infect others.

I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
