Offices were better before this mess of revisions
lol. Unbelievable.

It would have been quicker, cheaper and accurate if they asked the Posties to work out the size/sequencing of each round should be. The people that actually do the rounds day in day out.

All you needed to do is ask each Postie to give an honest opinion on which rounds are too long, too short or just right. If there is different opinions on some rounds just simply ask someone you trust to go out and do the round for a week and do the job properly and report back...

Then obviously you then move loops off the large rounds to the shorter rounds.

yeah, there is a bit more to it than this.... but it's no way as complicated as they have made it. Having 2 guys come in with their computer programme marking every delivery up is just plain ridiculous. HELLO! there are Posties that do the deliveries everyday that do have a voice and can simply tell you what needs taking off or adding on, if anything.

I know of two offices around here that are having theirs redone because it hasn't worked.

Then again when did any revision work in this company?

How hard is it. Seriously.

The time and money spent must be ridiculous.

Posties themselves could have worked out the revisions needed in their postcode within days. We do the jobs. We know which jobs are too big and which are too small. Most jobs are more or less correct. For the most part it's the odd round that needs 10 to 20 mins of work taken off or added on. It's not that hard to then shift the jobs around a little to move that 10-20 mins of work from the round that's too big to the round that's too small.

Who are the idiots that think some mapping programme can accurately work out how long a walk should take versus Posties who do the job, know the shortcuts, know the most efficient way to do the job and could have mapped things out at no extra cost to the company.

It really was ( and is) incredible the mess these so called revisions have made. Offices are a disaster compared to pre revision , why the workers were ignored planning these now unworkable duties i just dont know ? The answer now is to hand bits here and bits there to duties back n forth once tied up , incredible . Opened my eyes to a few things , incl the unions non involvement in this .
