A decision has been taken today to delay the next phase of CPOD- T24 & 48 [non-signature] for 48 hours to increase the number of OPG's fully up-skilled.

We are currently sitting at 81.2% and this time will enable us to move forward and get a lot more colleagues through.

Another fancy bit of training for our CV’s.

It's not the OPG's who need to be fully up-skilled it's the customers who need to be warned that their postie will no longer be able to leave Tracked parcels in previously informally agreed safe places. It would be interesting to see what chaos will be caused if posties now stick 100% to the rules.

To all Delivery colleagues; just a quick reminder that you can Review all Photos before you submit just in case the image does not meet "what good looks like".
* is the door open/ajar?
* is the parcel shown in the open doorway?
* make sure the customer is not in the photo
* make sure the image is not blurred

'Er' Mrs can you leave you door open letting in the cold north wind, whilst I pis** about trying to take a photo, OOP's no - doesn't work with gloves on, OOPs no try again you moved into the shot, OOPs try again it's blurred, OOps try again I pressed the wrong button, 'Click' maybe that's OK, I can't see the stupid screen or read any text on it anyway.

If you do then you could potentially face a conduct charge if a parcel ever goes missing, by keeping your chosen customers happy you could risk losing your own job.

CPOD next phase- Green light go-ahead for Thursday 10th March..

I am delighted to announce we have got the confirmation the next phase of CPOD goes live tomorrow. This is 2 key changes in the PDA screen [see below] and all Tracked 24 &48 [non signature items] require a photo.

Our upskilling of Delivery Teams is just over 90.1% so if you have any questions or doubts please contact your Line Mgr or send me a message..

There’s something I don’t quite understand about the mass panic over the photos and people saying callers offices will be rammed;

When we currently get a tracked we either:
1. Post it through the door if it fits.
2. Put it in a safe place as indicated on the parcel or an inflight request and take a picture.
3. If it doesn’t have a safe place some of us might ‘try to know our customers’ and put it in a safe place and take a picture even though we shouldn’t.
4. P739 it

From tomorrow we are either going to:
1. Post it through the door if it fits, remembering to take a photo of it halfway through.
2. Put it in a safe place as indicated on the parcel or an inflight request and take a picture.
3. If it doesn’t have a safe place some of us might ‘try to know our customers’ and put it in a safe place and take a picture even though we shouldn’t.
4. P739 it

I accept it’s going to take longer to do our rounds now and might mean we cut off more. But I’m not sure why people think we are going to be P739ing lots of parcels now.

No safe place option and if you do the knowing your customer thing photograph it anyway and it goes missing rm have photo proof you messed up and will dismiss you.
The only safe option if no one is home is back at the office.

Is that no safe place option confirmed?

My point is a large number of us over the years have left parcels in garages/sheds and taken a photo. Those people will continue to do so. Those of us protecting our jobs who P739 it like we should will continue to do so. I don’t think there’s a major difference unless as you suggest there’s no safe place option.
