Re: Payrise
take the break time off would leave less than 32 hours per week working time. they can't keep a 32 hr working week to 5 days. it would mean a 6 hour 24min working day which won't happen.

Re: Payrise
35 hours per week also translates as 70 hour fortnights, which would make 9 day fortnights far more appealing to RM.
Plus any dropping of days per week/fortnight would come with strings attached.
1 out of every 3 Sundays anyone?
Just my view.

Re: Payrise
If they make all days6 hour 59 minute day the break entitlement goes down to 30 minutes so theres a 35 hour week over 5 days including your break

Re: Payrise
the job can't be done done properly in 8 hours never mind 6.5. they will still have a 6 day service but split between people. when you are not working someone else will be.citypostie wrote: ↑21 Feb 2022, 18:21If they make all days6 hour 59 minute day the break entitlement goes down to 30 minutes so theres a 35 hour week over 5 days including your break

Re: Payrise
Snap. If Sunday working is brought in across the board (and yes I know it already exists in RM) I’m out of here.
The day is gonna come when we’re all gonna have to testify.

Re: Payrise
I hope your right,I'd love a 4 day week . It was manager seemed very confident we would get to 35 hours but was also confident we would pay for it with our breaksdaveyeff wrote: ↑21 Feb 2022, 18:42the job can't be done done properly in 8 hours never mind 6.5. they will still have a 6 day service but split between people. when you are not working someone else will be.citypostie wrote: ↑21 Feb 2022, 18:21If they make all days6 hour 59 minute day the break entitlement goes down to 30 minutes so theres a 35 hour week over 5 days including your break

Sunday working will almost certainly be brought in, maybe half doing it one week, half the next and then alternatingcitypostie wrote: ↑21 Feb 2022, 19:12I hope your right,I'd love a 4 day week . Re: Payrise
Realistically it's going to be either that or RM add the hours back to the working week (probably making the working week in deliveries at least 43-43 hours long), so deliveries effectively end up on a lower pay rateFirstPost wrote: ↑21 Feb 2022, 19:38In that case can you see many people running for the door or not?SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑21 Feb 2022, 19:31Sunday working will almost certainly be brought in, maybe half doing it one week, half the next and then alternatingcitypostie wrote: ↑21 Feb 2022, 19:12I hope your right,I'd love a 4 day week . Re: Payrise
They won't have to make everyone work Sundays, all the new starters have Sundays in their contracts and people are volunteering to work Sundays anyway. They don t need to force people to do them so they won't. And our hours won't be increasing, if all else fails when mc lose all the parcel work to the hubs they can make the surplus staff do parcels on a Sunday
