It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: Extreme weather
If they tell you to go home you ask is it with pay if they say no then you just sit in the office.
If they tell you not to come in then it is usually with pay.
With the red warnings, most are not in, it will be with pay.
Be careful, they WILL bullshit you!

Re: Extreme weather
Apparently my office will be doing all priority items tomorrow and the mail will roll over to Saturday. Been told to use two contact points when opening the van door and to use the side door only. Couldn’t make this s**t up
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

Re: Extreme weather
Who makes the decision for Cardiff and other parts of Wales?
What's the difference between those places and everywhere else....
It seems the majority of the UK is going to be smashed by 70mph+ winds....
Those winds are going to blow the mail out of our hands, blow the van doors off their hinges.
I've seen trees down, large plant pots blown over, fences down today because of the previous nights 40mph winds.... so what are these 70mph winds going to do.....
