Are you allowed to take out spare batteries...

Post by POSTMAN »

Parcelforce dude
Can someone please explain why we’re not allowed to take spare battery out with our new podiums?
we do have spare batteries and I have discussed this with my manager today morning and as an explanation I been told that batteries should last all day? But in some cases they don’t. I just don’t understand what is the reason to keep them in the office

Head of Operational Efficiency person
to Operations Systems Manager dude
can you contact Parcelforce dude and see what the issue is please, there is no reason to hold back batteries from drivers as far as I’m aware. Thanks

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

We get to take a spare out. Just as well as mine went flat today towards the end of the day before I finished. Must be your depots decision.

why worry about it,?
if your numbskull of a manager wont allow you to take out a spare battery, then when it goes flat,,return to the depot and collect a fully charged battery,,then return to route and complete what you can in the time remaining, and fail the rest..they are paid to manage,,you are not,

We can also but if u don’t get in early there won’t be any left. Today people were taking them out of podiums on charge sneakily. Serious shortage of batteries and none of ours last all day.

Are the PF PDAs the same physical model as the RM PDAs, but just with different apps?
