I’ll repeat what I’ve probably said multiple times on this forum. Simon Thompson is your typical narcissist predatory CEO but he’s being very clever about pretending to be the opposite. Our terms and conditions will come under attack from this guy at some point, and he will sell it with a smile and the support of his best pal Terry Pullinger. Worrying times ahead team.

We depot of over 90 we not got any ??
Strange comment from Mr Thompson as to my knowledge re comments on here and our own depot
All Agency/Temps let go 24/12 ??
Something for you lot to chew on
The 4 new senior roles just filled
Plus 3 people at senior level that let go
Estimate total cost around £2 MILLION POUNDS
Money well spent ??????????????????????????

Yesterday, 2 new senior management, they are even shafting DOMs now
But surely they are a bargain? Only £300,000 a year each?

"the data has also shown us that you are about three times more likely to have cleared your office before christmas. if you had done a revision"

Take 3 offices that aren't badly hit by absences and have tolerable levels of Xmas parcels and a revision whilst not welcome at the time still goes in
Take one that's in the s**t, hit by absences and inundated by parcels. No way a revision can go in, it would raise the level of s**t to eyebrow level instead of waist level.

Extreme simplified example I know, other factors were at play, type of revision etc, but that's how you can spin the reasonable postponement of a revision as the cause of not clearing.

Seriously busy will tidy up text as soon as I can.

Simon Thompson

the data has also shown us that you are about three times more likely to have cleared your office before christmas. if you had done a revision.

so,
But didn't Simon tell the market that revisions had taken part in all areas of the business in November last year?

As with anything related to data. It's only as good as what's inputted. I suspect a lot of the data re revision implemented offices was wrapped in tinsle and baubles for Simon.

This quote from HIM was a few weeks ago where he was talking to peeps about Customer service points-He said this...

Simon 'let's hope peeps don't go out at all' Thompson

I think we need to have a good think - about how we can get first time delivery to 100% - or put more simply - delivering when customers are in - they paid for a delivery to home, not a collection from a CSP

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

how we can get first time delivery to 100%
Nominated day delivery might help a bit. Of course that'd mean we'd need to retain stuff longer (and Space Phoenix will doubtless be able to tell us there's no way MCs could store parcels, and so DOs will have to, and it'll probably mean later start times).

But he's even more than a fantasist than I thought if he thinks 100% will ever be achievable. it's silly.

For a start, people might want to collect from a 'CSP', for a number of reasons.

When the parcel hubs come online it won't be our problem. The mail will just get cross-docked to the relevant lorries and sent on it's way to the DOs
