SPOT ON !! Maybe 3% wont be sorted until November Hence back-dated and we fall for it-not settle for for it !
By then National Insurance Hike well in place. Council tax rise, Inflation maby 6% by then Utility bills ?? well carte blanche what they will charge us all

BUT THEN YOU GET THE BELOW !!!!!!

Re: Payrise
I reckon 1 hour reduction in working week which we are supposed to get anyway and 1.5% pay rise, all agreed in November so it can be backdated which cons people every time. Terry will then give himself a pat on the back, mumble something about culture then consult his calendar to see how many days he has left to fleece the membership before retiring into the sunset on his big fat pension.

Re: Payrise
Give us the money, hour reduction useless as it always comes off start time so no earlier finish. Oh well get 10 mins lie in.

Re: Payrise
I posted about this a while back and still think the same.
A pay rise of around 3% to 5% from 1 April 2022 with a requirement to work on Sunday if required. This will be announced around August 2022 with the CWU giving their full backing to it. By the time it reaches a member ballot in September the average postie will be far more interested in how much the back pay is and when they get it, than they will in the details of the offer (much like has happened the last two or three times).

Re: Payrise
If they want people to work Sundays, contractually, then they should make it part of a more appealing shift pattern. 4 days, Sunday to Wednesday.

Re: Payrise
They’ve no need to. Nothing RM do is to make things more appealing for the workers. If (and it’s still a big if) RM wanted to bring in Sunday working across the board they’d simply do it with a rotating 2 days off each week (reserves would probably get Tues and Fri off every week). Wave a couple of hundred quid sweetener (pro rata) and it gets voted in.
The day is gonna come when we’re all gonna have to testify.

Re: Payrise
I don't think we will get a payrise at all. I wish we could keep staff they recruit to take off some of the pressure. Our pay rate used to be ok for our skill level but now they turn up, say f*** that and leave. They all think you still finish at lunchtime. We need a massive payrise if we are going to recruit new people but it isn't going to happen.

Re: Payrise
Any pay rise will have to be far greater that the rise in the minimum wage in April, which goes from £8.91 to £9.51, closing the gap considerably on the starting rate of £10.85, otherwise the job will not attract people
Everything will be OK in the end, If it's not OK, then its not the end.

Re: Payrise
We will need a rise of £40 a week just to break even with April’s hikes. That’s not including the big increases in petrol and diesel.
