For the doubters , we now have cctv and witnesses of me arriving at the box at the time of the alleged offence when the gps said i was at the depot , cant be in two places at once , bang to rights.

Kasia You must have of those wonderful management teams at your place
Failed boxes, Early Collection happend countless times here and all normally genuine mistakes
No serious action taken against anybody in my 24 years here
Like every depot at present cannot afford to lose anybody from work, if they fit -unless they totally useless

This raises a bigger question though - why didn't the manager see the box was collected before 9am and arrange for a second collection, thus no USO failure. Why was it left to fail? Put that question to them. If I'm doing overtime and my collection comes later in the evening, I get a quick call from the manager just checking up on the status because he actually does his job and reviews all collections before the day is over.

The bigger question for me is around case 2 , we now have a mountain of evidence that puts their claim as completely innacruate or downright false , how can the pda show a barcode being scanned at the depot on the gps when clear as day on cctv i am at the box in question at that time.

The times dont match either it says it was scanned at 9.12am but I am just pulling up to the box at 9.12am then park get out and scan.

We are actually concerned this might be out right fabrication in attempt to dismiss due to appealing first case.

After presenting the cctv videos and witness statements tomorrow we intend to take it further and request all the pda gps data and if need be file a complaint with the royal mail independant harassment line.

Stop using Your Car then you would not get to the Box Early , what time are you due to empty the Box on your Walk Log

Were you storing the collection in your own car? If not where was the Royal Mail van with your partner in it?

It is easy to dismiss the above replies but if I were the OP then I would give them some very serious consideration. It looks like the OP's card is marked (for whatever reason) and in her place I would now be doing absolutely everything by the book going forward. That includes not using my own car, not going home without returning to the depot and ensuring that all post is kept properly secured.

The car was only used to drive to the start of the duty then walking and van is used, but i aggree no more , it was promoted during covid regulations because they didnt have enough vans and people who lived in their duty area were traveling by car to but using the van for mail etc

Case 2 the box was not emptied early , it was emptied on time its GPS data they are disputing which we have now shown is false , as on cctv arriving at box on time and scanned.

Makes you think how many other people have been sacked for wrong gps data. Think the union needs to find out if anyone has been dismissed and get their jobs back ASAP! Imagine you didn't find this evidence!

They lifted the suspension as Royal Mail did not meet the threshold to instigate a formal fact finding.

Royal Mail will admit no deficiency with its data processing. Let alone admit the GPS Data retention was flawed as a reason for lifting any suspension.
As you say, that would open up appeals of past employees dismissed who would challenge those dismissals.

And as for using your car?

Unless your contract of employment has a mobility clause and you have informed your insurance company of this fact, your insurance would be invalid if stopped by the police

Well the suspension was lifted she's back to work tomorrow, as all the evidence we provided , cctv time stamped video, witnesses and images showed that the gps data they held and were using to begin proceedings contradicted the evidence we gave , she cannot be at point A when people and cameras have seen her at point B at that exact time stamp the barcode was scanned , union rep Is having a meeting about this with higher up apparently as this raises questions about past sackings , who knows like you said they will probably never admit data was wrong to anyone else or publicly.

They did not expect us to come as prepared as we were , if anything this has been very stressful for her.

As said previously numerous times , the car is not used to handle mail, deliver mail, drive routes or anything. It commutes to the duty and is parked up.

It won't be anymore however , by the book.
