I'm seriously thinking of jacking the job in and moving to Australia. Anyone got any idea of the rate of pay for Postmen there? It'd be nice to be able to sort work out before I went. I'm 24, I've been doing the job 2 and a half years, but ive got no commitments keeping me in the UK so I fancy a change

Don't be crazy -you'd be upside down and there would be the chance of falling off the earth = we only have our feet on the ground because we are up top as opposed to down underk66yla wrote:Job Type: Permanent

You and I both. Auckland is the only place with over 1million people. I've a mate in the Rotarua office, who took me around when I was down there. Reminded me of when I joined.k66yla wrote:Job Type: Permanent

No hassle, clear up and go. Do your delivery empty the boxes on the way back, face and box your collections and go home..

My aussie uncle is thinking of going for a job down under. No idea if he apply or not.
Everyone ride the bike, use the post box in bottom of drive and no walking up the drive (illegal in Australia) and only work 5 days a week. But I don't know how heavy the workload will be. I bet it wouldn't be that bad.
