I've seen the available duties at one of the distribution centres on the list, and there are lots of decent duties vacant including Monday to Friday duties. Alot of duties that include Saturday and Sunday working but looking at what's vacant I think most people would find something palatable especially if you factor in the higher wage and not walking about in the crappy weather

I think for those posties thinking of doing this purely for the financial benefit its a tricky 1. 8 hours docket a week for a full timer gets you close to £450 take home (outside London) now when you factor in travelling times and fuel costs to get to wherever they need you plus (probably) working nights not seeing your kids etc is it REALLY worth it for an extra £80-£100 a week?

Now the class 1 drivers is where the big bucks is. I think most of us would sacrifice a commute or the odd shift away from the family for 50k but I cant see RM putting drivers through this. So the risk vs reward at the minute is not very appealing unless you are part time or driving trucks is your dream job.

Summed up quite well there. I guess it's a step closer to the big bucks however it's a bit of a gamble.

I pretty comfortable in my role at the moment in regards the days/times i work plus the fact the office is 10mins away AND I am quite high on the AG seniority list.

I am still not sure - yet to fill in the Further information required and the deadlines tomorrow @ 8am!
