Like mobiles I had heard that they have the ability to scramble the old brain cells - fortunately it is only posties who are using them so it is already too late.

Management have been useing them for year's.

I think a PDA to collect signatures is a good idea. A PDA that will tell someone that a postie is somewhere on his route is ok within reason, especially if it could be used to alert the office if any problem arises. A PDA that might enable someone to make office jokes about said postie needing to visit the public toilets on cold mornings would NOT be OK.

I expect your brain will be ok if you don't keep the PDA under your cap. Better not keep it in your trouser pocket either.

Every other week there is something or other in the newspapers about the dangers of using mobile phones .
The boffins still cant tell the public if Mobiles are safe or not ,so what chance have we got of dropping down dead with radation poisoning

In order to be trackable the device must contain a transmitter. All transmitters emit radiation.Have these devices been safety tested? what levels of radiation and at what frequency do they transmit?
What is the effect of prolonged use?
Since the effect of such transmitters in terms of cellular damage has proved to be cumulative,what safety guidelines are in place and do they conform to
eec standards?
Studies have shown that when different transmitters interact at focal points the strength of the radiation increases exponentialy.
Might be wise if you are a driver of a van fitted with a tracker ,in possession of a hand held device , not to stop to use your mobile under some high voltage lines near a police station next to a phone mast.

You may have a point about tracker's in van's as all non factory equipment may impair function of the abs brakeing system and is theirfor against maufacture's recommendaton's.

I do not think any damage to royalmail equipment will be tollarated for to long ie disapliary procedures no we all have to work smarter and DO THE JOB PROPERLY!.

accidents will happen but who is to say who has done it a day before a week before but it will be your responsiblity to hand the thing in every day to download/charge and you will not finnish early if ever you do. DO YOUR JOB'S PROPERLY!.
