My gut feeling is that I'll be able to count the number of DOs that actually clear on Friday on one hand
Depends what the pipeline is looking like. They have chucked agency at us like never seen before and we still don’t clear. All the tactics will be deployed Friday I imagine.

I'm guessing that Thursday night, any mech mail will have to be sent to the DOs whether it's sequenced or not. SDs will be really busy

It already is here. I’m guessing come Friday there will be a lot of stuff driving around in the back of vans so they can report the office clear.

Funny how un optimistic people were last night, and yet it's even busier today for my office, busiest day infact.

However i'll give RM this one as to be fair to them they did warn to shop and send early, so it's the buyers fault's.

I was told by the DIM our walks are the only ones that will fail tomorrow :left: spoke to a few colleagues and they confirmed that is Bullshi*!!

Took two walks out today, brought one full one back minus the holy grail Tracked/Specials.

We have parcels that were retained from Saturday , still unable to deliver as Tracked parcels must be the focus.
Yorks and Yorks of parcels left over today so likelihood of clearing tomorrow is very slim, also added to mix was told before i left there is lapsing tomorrow and one less driver than normal.

I was optimistic yesterday. I'm still out finishing tracked at half five! Managers worried as apparently the sorting office told them tomorrow is bedlam as they couldn't get it all out yesterday.

Merry Christmas!

Lapsing? Surely there is no way they can say you have time for lapsing? What did the rep say?

Rep has said they are putting duty on lapsing as its failing, chancing their arm basically. No one will touch it though, but it will probably pee off the runners expecting an early finish

I expect we'll be about 80% clear (but I'm just plucking figures out of my ass just like RM) We've generally cleared daily, apart from two or three walks throughout the pressure period (that's about 10%) ...... which is bloody amazing considering the lack of staff. :thumbup

IF the Mail Centre shaft us on Friday and just dumps everything that's left we're going to struggle. IF we get one of those weirdly quiet Christmas Eves I expect the majority of us will do our best with Cards and Christmas Prezzies and stream the rest. :hmmmm

I'm sure this Christmas will go down as the greatest Clusterfuck in RM history ..... But hey if we're making a profit for the shareholders (and I'm sure RM will declare record profits after Christmas) whose bothered. :cuppa
