Yes - uncanceled stamps
Nearly Every other letter is a uncanceled stamp - does my head in
RM moan they don’t make money from letters I’m not surprised
Basically they are paying people money to give away free stamps
and before anyone says cross out with a pen - I do but half the people I work with are blind as a bat!

When Alan Leighton was in charge. They worked out it actually cost the company less to process mail if you didn’t stamp it.
The main reason for cancelling is incase of reusing stamps.

Cancelling stamps wasn't mentioned at my Welcome Day. It wasn't mentioned in my first few days 'training' with a workplace coach. Indeed, the first time I heard of the concept of cancelling stamps, it was by an old-timer, and I was probably 2 years into the job.

Well, Revenue Protection Transformation Manager says different...
At this time of year, just a quick reminder to cancel stamps by selecting the correct operating mode and mail stream in Mail Centres to avoid “free” re-use in the New Year. In manual areas a pen cancellation would be great! As always if in doubt about any mail let RP check it out for you, by using our email address RPUK@royalmail.com. My interactions with RP in the past have not been positive. Anything brought to their attention is often met with huffing and puffing and a reluctance to do anything that means they have to do some actual work.
