Working Bank Holidays
If your day off falls on a Bank Holiday, but you work it as overtime, how does this work with overtime/getting a days leave back? Can you book it twice?

Re: Working Bank Holidays
Our place gives you two choices, Option A is a higher hourly rate and no lieu day, or Option B is a much lower hourly rate than Option A but you also get a day in lieu. Check with your booking officer.

You get the hours worked back in lieu with option B rather than the whole day (I think)

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Classic management shaft.... being fobbed off both ways there. It's the same amount however you look at it.scoobymunster wrote: ↑18 Dec 2021, 10:21Our place gives you two choices, Option A is a higher hourly rate and no lieu day, or Option B is a much lower hourly rate than Option A but you also get a day in lieu. But if you booked the full week as a holiday, you'd only use 4 days holiday. Then you come in and book the full day on bank holiday rate, so why are you allowing them to rob you of either X hours of normal rate pay or holiday.

Re: Working Bank Holidays
Wrong , if you work more than 2 hours overtime on a bank holiday , you get a day off.Clappedoutpostie wrote: ↑18 Dec 2021, 10:37You get the hours worked back in lieu with option B rather than the whole day (I think)
Albeit being an average of your working week.
