Re: Inaccessible
Yeah, it’s just more lies.
Doing that is not even very smart. The GPS will say where the scan took place. A bunch of inaccessible scans miles away from the actual location for example? Not good.
It’s the same as when they tell you to take the mail out, knowing full well it won’t be delivered and will be brought back to the office.
All so they can report a “clear” office, when in reality it is anything but.
Fraud & lies, simple as that.

Re: Inaccessible
We've always scanned them in as "Delivery Not Attempted".
Apparently one of the days this week there were over 300 tracked failed. Compare this to last week where the office was cleared everyday.

Re: Inaccessible
If an office is short-staffed for the day and the managers know that they might struggle to deliver the tracked they can always move some of the York's full of tracked items to one side and not have them scanned on that day to say that the office has received them. Use an excuse that the van has broken down.
The Tracked items won't show as "failed" because it shows up on the system that they have not received them
They just have to make sure they put in additional resources the following day to make sure that what is scanned inwards is definitely going to be scanned outwards.

What gets loaded onto a lorry gets logged. Any lorry breakdowns are probably also logged as well.postslippete wrote: ↑04 Dec 2021, 19:37If an office is short-staffed for the day and the managers know that they might struggle to deliver the tracked they can always move some of the York's full of tracked items to one side and not have them scanned on that day to say that the office has received them. I believe that it's now also possible to track the lorries as well

I wasn't aware that they could track the lorries? Sometimes we get lorries that arrive late and often there are several Yorks full of Tracked that don't get scanned in until the following day.
The packets that come in these packet shrouds are a real mixed bag as well. We are getting tracked items mixed in with normal and recorded packets and usually there are several Yorks that ain't even for our office but should have sent to another one miles away!! lol

I beleieve that Trimble has tracking capabilities, I beleieve that it's been fitted to all the lorries from 600s right through to the arcticspostslippete wrote: ↑04 Dec 2021, 20:02I wasn't aware that they could track the lorries? If it's near the end of the shift then they've probably been chuck together to just get them out the doorpostslippete wrote: ↑04 Dec 2021, 20:02The packets that come in these packet shrouds are a real mixed bag as well. We are getting tracked items mixed in with normal and recorded packets

Re: Inaccessible
This is one of the reasons we’re so screwed this year.
Years of line managers and DOMs fudging figures to achieve and beat targets. All they’ve done is make it seem they’ve way too many hours in an office.
When something is scanned as inaccessible it’s basically saying delivery has been attempted, so counts as ‘complete’ . Then imagine if everything is scanned this way the office is then clear with all of the hours saved by runners that day showing as being spare.
Hence offices showing as having way too many hours available meaning revisions now failing, way too few staff, no vans. Etc etc . It’s all linked.
My office has scanned anything that’s not gone out as “inaccessible” since I started years ago. It’s always baffled me and it’s all coming back to bite them now.
To be fair, as much as I’m not a fan of the ‘team’ stuff,, I don’t think you can really blame Thompson for much of this. He’s been fed a load of completely inaccurate figures and BS by middle management. Imagine looking at hours paid for and hours worked at every office across the whole country! Because that’s what they will have looked at.
This is all down line managers /DOMs lazyness, incompetence, mismanagement and what equates to lying for personal gain.
They know they’ve screwed up too. For a couple of months Before the crap hit the fan in our office they were vocally telling everyone not to come back early as PDAs record it. No s**t, genius.

Reliance on RM figures = mistaking the map made by bent cartographers for the territory.
"A third of the world's farmland is now useless due to soil degradation, yet we still keep producing mouths to feed. And what's you answer to that? Energy saving lightbulbs?"

In that case, be honest. Tell them. Not your problem.noggin1969 wrote: ↑03 Dec 2021, 20:14Had it at ours, when they have no LAT cover or the LAT delivery can not find the calls out in the sticks. Managers scan them as inaccessible instead of delivery not attempted. Which means the following day some customer 'on one' wanting to know why their house is inaccessible.

It is when the manager calls you in and gives you a b0ll0cking for telling the truth, then makes you're life a misery for doing it!rambo1 wrote: ↑08 Dec 2021, 19:11In that case, be honest. Tell them. Re: Inaccessible
I ain't gonna lie for anyone. It's the managers problem not mine. I give people the office number to phone if they have a complaint.
