As they say in Ulster , vote often , vote early , it'll be interesting if that's legal under employment law i.e. detriment for legitimate union activities . Good old Royal Fail never fail to turn a storm in a tea cup into a fully fledged disaster and pouring petrol on the flames with that style of "management ".Same old tactics -the victorian mill owner , they couldn't work people out with Dave Condliffe -they think everybody is as venal and vaucous as their Senior /Board "Management ".
It makes me laugh , RM's "investigations" , everything is to a foregone conclusion , only recently the "independent ' investigator's stock response was I don't know -charges were vague , obscure and ambigious , suddenly RM have evidence and statements after casting the net to construct a case by interviewing managers . 25 generalized questions about the office was the latest tactic .
No wonder RM won't have a independent inquiry , something to do with a Barrister chairing it . With a spivvy salesman and a spin doctor from a sales background in charge , you wouldn't expect anything less.

The last thing I want or need to do just now is strike but Royal Mail are trying to break the poor postal workers of Burslem and so I think it is time for solidarity across the UK and join them on the picket line.
If we sit by and do nothing and this dictatorship called Royal Mail win then who is safe from their bullying tactics next.
Billy Hayes should send out ballot papers nationwide and not just the Midlands.
Lets get this sorted out now

Striking postal workers have extended their current 29-day walkout for a further two weeks amid a new row over annual leave.
They are refusing to deliver mail across the ST6 postcode area until at least January 30 following a ballot of members.
The strike extension by workers at Burslem comes as Royal Mail sent out letters to staff informing them that their annual leave will be cut as a result of the industrial action.
Lee Barron, Midlands regional secretary for the Communication Workers Union (CWU), said the cut in holidays had added fuel to the fire.
He said: "This is a punishment tactic. They have not done this before and didn't when the national strikes took place last year.
"We had a meeting with members and decided to hold another ballot to give the members the opportunity to give some feedback. Just over 80 per cent turned out, more than the original ballot and 79 people voted to continue with the strike and extend it until January 30, so we are giving Royal Mail notice today that we are continuing into the third phase of action."
About 100 members at the Royal Mail delivery office in Burslem walked out on December 18 in a 15-day strike in protest over the suspension of 12 colleagues, following allegations of bullying. The strike was then extended for a further two weeks, which has now been extended again.
Royal Mail has lifted the suspension on four of the workers but they remain off work to show solidarity.
The CWU is calling for all cases to be reviewed independently.
Royal Mail said it is continuing to work through the cases of the suspended workers.
The organisation said it has also sent a return to work proposal to the union for consideration.
A spokesman said: "We have lifted suspension for a fourth member of staff - that person has been invited back to work.
"We are trying to conclude the cases of the eight people involved in the allegations. We had already gathered a lot of the material and evidence including witness statements before the strike began. We can in their absence go through all this but without their co-operation it makes things harder.
"We have come up with a new proposal in an effort to resolve the dispute. We have drafted a return to work document and sent it to the union for them to put to their members."
The spokesman added: "We have sent out letters to employees on our annual leave policy.
"Employees do not have the right to accrue holiday during unpaid leave. Industrial action is unpaid leave and we believe it is only right and proper to enforce this policy."
Royal Mail has drafted in managers from across the country to deliver mail and said it is managing to deliver about 100,000 items each day to addresses in the ST6 postcode area.
Royal Mail said it was in 'good shape' and that all post had been delivered in the past week apart from on Saturday.

They'll find it affects thier pension accruals too. It may seem harsh, but it's DSS guidelines they're following."Employees do not have the right to accrue holiday during unpaid leave. Industrial action is unpaid leave and we believe it is only right and proper to enforce this policy."

Seems to me that RM may be wanting to use this dispute to divert public or CWU (and our) attention from something else they're doing. I don't see why they wouldn't agree to reviews of suspensions, otherwise, since that would be the rational thing to do. Perhaps it's the Post Office closures, or perhaps there's something more sinister happening, or about to happen.... are there any deadlines for anything coming up?
