I've had a chat with Super Si and he listens to everything you say - and then ignores everything you say.
He isn't interested in the truth, just brushing everything aside. Carry on regardless.

It's all reminiscent of the post office Horizon scandal, we're right , your wrong, lalala lala....... and so the dance goes on .....

Just watched the Panorama programme, but this is focused on mainly food and agricultural HGV deliveries in the run up to Christmas and driver shortages, not parcel couriers and Royal Mail.

I think we are well past the stage of some duties are longer than others and that just needs evened out.
As Simon himself has just said, we are now a parcel delivery company that is set up to deliver letters.
Something has to give, and until it does more staff will leave.

So Simon, just brush it under the carpet and hope it goes away because Team Royal Mail are going places.

SIMON THOMPSON ON WP
Team - it is all about fairness - we need equal performance between our operations - and equal workload between our team - and we won’t rest until this is done - let’s all move on….
What an absolute load of ****
Dont recall the Watchdog show saying anything about equal workload

It's the exact same mantra that the union gave us before the revisions in an attempt to get people on board with them.CharlesG wrote: ↑01 Dec 2021, 20:40SIMON THOMPSON ON WP

newsflash, I couldn't care less of there are people out there doing 2 hour deliveries a day less than me - good luck to them - I do what I can in my hours and often over my time due to it being so hard to judge and still am doing something like what would be 8 days of work pre covid crammed into 5 days.

"All about fairness" and "Equal workloads"?
Give me a break.
I'm on late parcel deliveries at the moment. Yesterday was clearly a light day (letters-wise) as, by the time I arrived for my shift early in the afternoon, most of the posties who started work that morning had left or were in the process of leaving. An hour before their finishing time.
In contrast, I was given an enormous amount of parcels to deliver. Having scanned them all in to the Route Optimisation app on the PDA, the driving alone was estimated to take me way past the end of my shift, even before I'd had a chance to order the parcels and load them into the van.
Manager seemed surprised that I should bring this to his attention. After all, in his opinion, I should know this particular area well enough (having been there ONCE previously) to be able to deliver everything in less time than the PDA was telling me it should take. Never mind the additional time required for parking, attempting delivery, trying with neighbours, writing out a P739, looking for the door number, all in the PITCH F**KING DARK (good job I brought in my own head torch). God forbid I should attempt to factor in my break.
I'm done. Notice has gone in.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
