Royal Mail are deliberately sabotaging their non-premium services. If its not 'Tracked' or 'Special Delivery' then it can wait.. .and wait.. this is forcing customers, who require a timely service, to pay a premium.
An easy loophole for price hiking

The dedicated 'team' of pen pusher's, paper shufflers, bean counters and know-it all's would be my guess, but hey I'm just a humble OPG.

Just watched it . Covid to blame stop lying . Only a small amount of places affected stop lying . Least it showed the concerned posties in good light .

Royal Mail will be hopping mad at that, trust me.
Primetime BBC1. Singing the praises of frontline posties, clearly blaming the company for the growing mess. Angry shareholders on the phone in the morning.
Meanwhile I leave a heap of mail undelivered again tomorrow, despite doing hours of backbreaking overtime.
Have a nice night, Team.

Standard Watchdog article that didn't look into anything. But really good that the blame was clearly pointed at the "bosses" and to not blame the postie.
Well done Mr CEO, your bluffing may have fooled your friends on the markets but the public aren't so easily duped - and not by facts! Shameful way to run a company by thinking people will just belief your endless bollocks.

Royal Mail
failing the workforce, failing the public and deliberately failing mail on a daily basis for too many years.

I missed it sadly. But we can probably watch it come tomorrow on iplayer.
(Edit)
Looks like it's online now.
You just need to register, you don't need your address and you merely get a yes/no for TV licence question.
RM part starts at bang on 10mins.

(edit)
Doesn't say much, but least it highlights we try and RM balls'd up revisions. My office didn't have a flag on the map, so the issue is definitely more widespread than what meets the eye.

Just got in, I haven't watched it I taped it and if it's on Iplayer I will screen record it and put it up.
Simon has said this so far...
Simon
Team - apparently “all down to managers not supporting the posties” - let’s move on - and get back to reinventing Royal Mail for the Next Generations - we have made an impressive start - and have much more to do together…
We are a brilliant business - a trusted brand - with a magnificent team - to watch us presented to the World like that hurts.
Team Chelmsford & the two teams I visited in Oxford today - well done and keep going - you have shown our customers what can be done.
Thank you.
Later on...
Simon
Team - we know what we need to do - deliver a quality service for the customer - have a peaceful evening - back to work tomorrow….
OPG
I believe that attitude is just ignoring the multitude of problems the company face.
Simon
not true - happy to chat if you wish - drop me a line Simon.d.thompson@royalmail.com - I look at our performance in fine detail every day - and often at a DO level

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
