Following the press conference, a statement from 10 Downing Street said: "Face coverings will be made compulsory in shops and on public transport from next week.

I reckon that's going to cause a surge in packets going through the system now. The new self-isolation rules are going to cause chaos, as now potentially you could get whole work areas and/or shifts off at a time.

Boris hasn't ruled out a Xmas lockdown. My gut feeling is that now it's a matter of when, not if we end up back in a full blown lockdown

I was informed on Monday when i arrived at the MC to collect my LAT's that mask wearing was now mandatory again. Not seen anyone at the MC any day this week not wearing a mask. Completely different at my DO though.

Our gaffers up here in our Scottish DO go round every morning making sure masks are on. It’s constant. They don’t let up.
