Can't wait to see this. The original Matrix was, and still is, one of my favourite movies.

Only this time it's just Lana Wachowski who wrote and directed this new sequel. Her trans-sister, Lilly Wachowski, moved on to other projects.

Resurrections looks pretty cool. And I've always been a mega fan of the first Matrix, too. :cool

I can't wait to see this movie in December. :cool And like The Matrix Resurrections, only one member of a famed sibling directing duo helms this highly anticipated work (Joel Coen without his brother Ethan).

The reviews from last night's New York Film Festival are in and they're overwhelmingly positive. :thumbup

Coen’s visual contrivances have something of Kurosawa and Welles, with some German expressionist shadows, and this looks like a crime drama from the 30s or 40s – but entirely naturally rather than as an interpretative affectation. Bruno Delbonnel’s cinematography is pellucid and austere and Stefan Dechant’s magnificent production design imagines Macbeth’s castle as a giant, rectilinear modernist house, with chilly courtyards bounded by vast vertiginous walls and corridors that extend like some sort of open-plan death row.

I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

I've been going through some psychologically difficult times lately (mostly Royal Mail management intimidation and on the receiving end of their corrupt practices; thank you, CWU ---NOT!), but I managed to find the time in my extremely busy two full-time job schedule to login to Prime Video and finally see Denis Villeneuve's Dune (2021).

I have to say, it was excellent (which is just as well considering it costs £16 to rent on Prime). I was apprehensive at first because I'm not a big Villeneuve fan. I thought his Blade Runner 2049 was too slow. But the pacing in Dune was miles better. And the costumes, script and photography are magnificent. Worth seeing.

As for Guy Ritchie's latest, Wrath of Man with Jason Statham (also on Prime Video), forget it! Worst Ritchie movie I've seen. Corny mess that doesn't do justice to the 2004 French movie Cash Truck that Ritchie's film was partly based on.

But thank you, Dune, for bringing a smile to my dark world. :cry :chuckle



Anyway, see you in a bit. Might be a while.

Watched the unforgivable on Netflix with Sandra Bullock, was really good, and she's the bollox as per.
