.... and still over worked under paid posties continue to pay their subs to a union that does not recognise the daily chaos posties have to put up with.

Why do the majority pay their subs? Because they might need a rep in a dispute! What a joke. Most of the rest of the working population are not living in fear of a dispute with their employer and paying out money for old rope.

Mass cancellation of subs is what is needed. The union is dead. It is in the pocket of RM. Wake up people.

Exactamundo as Fonzie said in the 80s which was about the last time a CWU diary would have been of any use to me

I agree. :thumbup Terry's living in a dream world if he believes the greedy bastards in the City are going to let RM off the hook. :arrrghhh They're ONLY interested in making MONEY ..... they don't give a shite about what sort of service we provide to the public, or how Posties are expected to try and deliver it (no pun intended)! :cuppa

Agree, it's just words and soundbites anyone can say something's 'a priority' - think they've said the same thing before
every election and without a Labour govt. it's never going to happen and even with a Labour govt. I don't think
they could rewind it. It might be possible to do it in cases of organisations looking after national infrastuctural failure/emergency
but not for a parcels delivery service (as management don't seem to care about letters anymore).

That is deluded and wrong. His own union AGM approved removal of funding for Labour, so how can he work with a party that no longer represents us? He's not on message with his own members, or indeed his union's decision making processes

I think you will find the quote is from some time ago.
Postman put it up to show the difference between the CWU then and now.
Some of you appear to have had a sense of humour bypass.

We all must have a Sense of Humour Clash .... or we wouldn't still be working for these bunch of clowns.

I just like to see what's the next lot of BS the Management can come up with. I'll sometimes thinK, "What if they .......". :hmmmm Unfortunately it often comes true! :cuppa

The CWU leadership might be in a better relationship with the CEO of Royal Mail. They seem to be on the same page of blowing sunshine up their ar** whilst conveniently hiding behind the reality....

Does anyone really believe all that cr*p Terry said about universal service to every single person, maintaining quality of service, resourcing in recruitment when there are duties full of post and non-tracked parcels left on a daily basis?

And this is not down to revisions either. Its down to blatant cost cutting and prioritising tracked parcels over letters. We have had staff sickness before but Royal Mail are deliberately running the letters service down by not getting the duties covered.
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.
