Re: Boxing Day
That's being looked at by the regulator but it will probably be the same, no service on Saturday and a substitute BH on Monday (and Tuesday for most Scottish DOs)

Re: Boxing Day
Perhaps the LFT's (although delivered in 24hrs normally) will be considered as a routine pre-emptive measure which the publicSpacePhoenix wrote: ↑15 Nov 2021, 15:52Don't think that'll be 100% true this year, with Covid test kits
should order well in time before the holiday period and then if a PCR test is required they are asked (as per
the current procedure) to state whether they are an essential worker (who have priority for PCR's). If not they
might be directed by the NHS to self isolate until they can get one through the post after the holiday or to physically go
to a test centre.
Thus none of us would be required to deliver any type of COVID test kit on the Sunday.

Re: Boxing Day
What we have been told at our DO is that those contracted to Sundays will be expected to work the 26th most likely delivering COVID test kits. The Monday and the Tuesday they are looking for volunteers to provide the equivalent of the usual Sunday deliveries. Currently there hasn't been one person volunteer.

Re: Boxing Day
It's been contradicted hasn't it?
Guy above saying in his office those contracted to work Sundays are required to work Boxing Day or have I missed something?

Re: Boxing Day
The page TBT linked to isn't quite right though. It says there haven't been deliveries on any of the bank holidays earlier in the year but COVID test kits were delivered on all of them.aiden01 wrote: ↑19 Nov 2021, 21:42What tbt posted is the offical line not some manager thinking he is the dogs balls. Having been at the company a relatively short time I have no idea who to believe to be perfectly frank.
The day is not greyed out in the app either as a holiday for me just a normal working day.

If you have the royal mail app you can ask the question to HR. They usually answer within a few days.

Re: Boxing Day
FWIW one of the managers at my office confirmed today that they plan to open on Boxing Day and the Monday and Tuesday bank holidays delivering covid kits.
