Anyone on the Night Shift at Plymouth MDEC

Post by ISpy »

Hi All

At Stockport we are a diminishing shift, we've not had any new staff in the last 2yrs, when someone leaves no-one takes their place, so obviously our night shift is getting smaller and smaller.

And I just wondered if its the same on Plymouth nights, are your staff being replaced when they leave? also how many are on the night shift?

Thanks

In short staff are not replaced when they leave and currently there approx 100 staff on nights at plymouth.

In Stockport there's only about 40 people left on the nights and that's with a full compliment, which is very very rare because of sick/leave etc.

I just wonder how we can substain an economical and viable night shift with so few keyers.

Trouble is you never know what RM are up to, until its too late.

Thanks for your reply

off the cuff, and so I have been told, when anyone leaves a delivery office (I've also been told the retention rate is about 45%), they are replaced by 25-hour contracts, regardless of if the original duty was full-time or not.
