LTB 002/08 - National March and Rally in Support of the Burslem Strike - 19th January
03 January 2008

Issuing officer(s): Billy Hayes

Dear Colleague

NATIONAL MARCH AND RALLY IN SUPPORT OF THE BURSLEM STRIKE : 19TH JANUARY 2008

Branches will know that over 100 workers at Burslem Delivery Office are striking to defend twelve colleagues who were suspended in September. Royal Mail is refusing to allow their case to be heard by an independent appeals panel despite concerns over bullying and harassment by managers.

The CWU remains committed to resolving this dispute.

Attached are the finalised arrangements for the March and Rally in Burslem on 19th January 2008.

We would urge Branches to attend the March and Rally in support of our 12 colleagues in Burslem.

Any enquiries on this LTB should be addressed to the General Secretary’s Department quoting the reference GS11.0

Yours sincerely

W HAYES
General Secretary
