New "P" in box to left of scan code today, rather than just telling me a parcel needs a photo when I confirm it's been delivered?

Really needs an alert window after initial scan to make sure we know it's a photo item.

When we're scanning Tracked at the MC, if we scan a non-Tracked then a pop-up comes up about it being scanned in the wrong work area

That "P" might as well be invisible. The signature punct is far more noticeable, and so there I know it's safe to hit the submit button to progress to the next screen. When it's just a plain tracked (or what appears to be) I keep well away from accidentally hitting submit and sending out an incorrect delivery status (delivered when not delivered, or vice versa - customers do notice getting two contradictory messages one after the other).

I find it easier to put the parcel on the floor and the moment they open the door, take the photo and let them pick up the parcels themselves. This way you only get feet and lower legs in the photo at most and they probably don't even know you took a photo.

As probably already said, every other courier has been doing it for yonks, the customer would not be surprised you're taking a photo, the only surprise to them would probably be that Royal Mail have finally caught up.

And probably some skanks would be a bit pissed that they can't deny receipt.

It says if it will go through the letterbox take a picture with it halfway through....don't they know most of the customer's virtually live their lives on the other side of that door, and as soon as you start pushing something through they whip it off you faster than a snake on recoil....so then you knock on the door and ask the customer to place it at their feet while you take a photo?

nobody has said anything about photographing parcels but then again we never have WTL and our manager is off.
I expect he will say something when he returns

Taking photos is using a sledgehammer to crack a nut. 0.001% are scrotes denying receipt, and you annoy the 99.9999% of normal customers as you can no longer leave them in your usual safeplace.

The IT crowd need to make this screen appear as you scan the parcel bar code NOT after you select confirm delivery
as by that time a lot of recipents have grabbed the parcel off the doorstep and disappeared back into their house
leaving you to take a photo of a blank doorstep.....which some of my colleagues have done LOL!

Had one tisay, small enough to fit through letterbox.
Stuck it half way, took a pic, pushed it in
Look at screen and still on camera with red loading circle, I wait, and wait and think I'll go up the road come back, and take a picture of the door, still red loading circle, I turn on and off the screen, met with home page of Indoor , Outdoor etc, no idea if it submitted or not

Because it arse covering, if you get bitten through a letter box the first question won’t be to ask you if you are ok.
