What makes me laugh is that someone has actually been keeping a record of this - haven't they got anything
better to do? Or does he pop up to the DOM's office every day and report 'Nothing brought back today boss'.

I recall a performance table some years back showing how many P739s per walk were logged into the caller's office for the week, so that data is definitely being collected in the background. A bit of statistical analysis on the raw data for that office might reveal this seven year streak to be suspect.

They are a bit useless in there anyway, always losing parcels only for it mysteriously appear a few days later. Serves the customer right for not getting out of bed.

So imagine you've got 3 yorks of parcels after your delivery at 14;30. You count the parcels as you're loading and the end result is 192! You set off thinking is this even possible ? this was the end result ! Phil 192 P739s nil. Only thing was left was my fleece wondering why it was lonely #pushingtheboundriestoanotherlevel and still unbeaten over 7 years still going strong.

192 on 3 Yorks? We had 82 yesterday, average sizes a few large and some smaller than a shoe box, and they filled 2 Yorks.

To get 192 on 3 Yorks a lot of them would have to be letterboxable.

Today I brought back 3 full sacks of 739's must be about 30 packets?

I think I'll be up to 4 or 5 sacks once the "let's all celebrate our shopping addiction day" goes into full swing

p.s I assume doorstepping (fly), and signing without consent from the recipient is still not company policy??

I've been on one of those lat shifts and five of them combined dont even do half that many parcels.

It's always been suggested 20 parcels per hour is the the expect number to deliver, 30 on a good run. The only way to do that many is doorstep every parcel, even doing that 50+ an hour still seems unlikely, unless he's throwing out of his van window!

So assuming the 192 parcels are all for a few duties close to each other, and he managed to deliver one parcel every 2 mins (going at a hell of a rate and bearing in mind 3 mins per parcel is more realistic) , he'd be working till after 9pm.

If it's true, I'm guessing he's physically running to/from the van and/or doorstepping parcels, coupled with working till well after 7pm.

This is not a prime example, or model, of desirable working practices. In fact it should be questioned.
