I know we had the backdated 2.whatver% rise and then 1% going in to 2021,but are we due another rise in April?
Nothing in the agreements but do we have a yearly rise as standard?

No the union will have to negotiate a new deal ,don’t hold your breath, it usually takes so long that they have to backdate the pay rise by about 9 months.theotherone wrote: ↑18 Oct 2021, 19:40I know we had the backdated 2.whatver% rise and then 1% going in to 2021,but are we due another rise in April?

Cheers.I would of thought this would be happening now.Surely 6 months isn't that far away, considering like you said how long past deals have taken to come to the fore.chickenwittle wrote: ↑18 Oct 2021, 19:47No the union will have to negotiate a new deal ,don’t hold your breath, it usually takes so long that they have to backdate the pay rise by about 9 months.theotherone wrote: ↑18 Oct 2021, 19:40I know we had the backdated 2.whatver% rise and then 1% going in to 2021,but are we due another rise in April?

They have never negotiated a pay rise that actually kicks in when it should , it’s always backdated. They basically negotiate a 2 year deal but it’s a year late .theotherone wrote: ↑18 Oct 2021, 19:52Cheers.I would of thought this would be happening now.Surely 6 months isn't that far away, considering like you said how long past deals have taken to come to the fore.chickenwittle wrote: ↑18 Oct 2021, 19:47No the union will have to negotiate a new deal ,don’t hold your breath, it usually takes so long that they have to backdate the pay rise by about 9 months.theotherone wrote: ↑18 Oct 2021, 19:40I know we had the backdated 2.whatver% rise and then 1% going in to 2021,but are we due another rise in April?

The hour of the working week also equated to a 2.6% pay rise if this has been implemented in your unit? The last 1% looks absolute piss poor now (if It didn't then)
As for next years pay negotiations id say they are in progress at moment. I think Union are in a better position to negotiate once RM publish their End of Year Financial report hence why some negotiations end well after April.
I fully expect another hour to be taken off working week as Union’s stance has always been to get working week down to 35hrs. Any ‘deal’ will ofcourse come with strings and efficiency targets and unrealistic savings forecasts

Ah yes of course the hour off the working week I forgot that one.
My DO are no where near the October target for implementing the revision so will be interesting to see how it pans out with regards to us getting the hour off.
It madness how you can have say an office 2 miles apart but both working different full time hours on different pay rates.
