How long from taking id to post office to be checked to start date?
coming to end of october now..so id assume it be quite quick turn around?

Post Office Verification is a relatively new service so you may be RMCs test case.
According to the blurb https://www.postoffice.co.uk/identity/i ... on-service though it should be automatic, so it's probably now in the Angard system somewhere.

I got an offer the day after my documents were verified at the post office, offer recieved on the 30th September for 8th November start date
