Re: Pro rata ,35 hrs.
Isn’t 35 hours classed as FT?
You should be getting paid an extra 2 hours a week making you up to full time hours like other full Timers
that’s what they do to people in my office if you get FT you’re on 35 hours

35hrs is part time. 37hrs is full time for those offices that have had the realignments/revisions otherwise full time is 38hrs

Royal Mail & CWU Joint Communication (2018)
Several questions have been raised recently in relation to the introduction of the Shorter Working Week, the reduction to 38hrs and the new 35hr full time contracts. As a result meetings have taken place between Royal Mail & CWU to provide joint clarification to the issues that have been raised. The purpose of this joint document is to provide clarity on the most frequently asked questions:
1. With effect from 1st October 2018, 35hrs is the contract we will use for all future full time OPG contracts (whether they be new recruits or part time uplifts from existing employees).
2. Employees on the new 35hr contracts will be listed on PSP as full-time employees but using a different position code to that used for our full-time employees on 38hr contracts.

Re: Pro rata ,35 hrs.
Following our revision all p/t staff that got a full time contract were moved to 37 hours.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

My contract has been 35hrs for over 8 yrs. This means i have been getting pro rata rate for d2d, Dec bonus payment.Still trying to confirm if classed as full time or part time. Should i still be getting lower rates.

Re: Pro rata ,35 hrs.
This is a confusing thread.
My contract has been 35hrs for over 8 yrs.
Then you are a part timer and you get everything pro rata, until FT goes to 35hrs.
(Does anyone actually know what happens to 35hr peeps when the 35hr week hits?)
Not in our DO...35 hours is considered full time.
How and for how long, as what 'people say' and what 'actually is' are 2 different things.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: Pro rata ,35 hrs.
Just re read and saw rogersh "Royal Mail & CWU Joint Communication (2018)" post and still none the wiser.
With effect from 1st October 2018, 35hrs is the contract we will use for all future full time OPG contracts
So on that date all the 35hr peeps got a massive pay rise?
