Re: Sunday Pay Rates
"In addition, we offer a Sunday Premium of an additional £5.83 per hour." Several jobs advertised with this in the job description which for new starters would be circa £16.68 an hour for Sundays. I've now seen 2 different rates on the payscale as well as advertised rates that differ. Can different offices really pay different rates bar the obvious London higher rates etc ??

Re: Sunday Pay Rates
Anyone got any evidence of how this contracted Sunday is supposed to show on the payslip? Someone at our place on a 27.5 hour contract, and new so they are on less than £12 an hour, and don't get any higher rate for being contracted to work Sunday, their payslip just shows basic 27.5 hour only and nothing else. Trying to sort this out before more people potentially get shafted.

Re: Sunday Pay Rates
On my payslip, for some reason, it shows 27.5 hours basic pay, with Sundays shown as overtime.... I need to check this out as I have been told that it should show 27.5 hours basic pay and a £5.83 (?) per hour supplement for Sunday.

Re: Sunday Pay Rates
I've finally got mine all cleared up after 7 weeks of back and forth. Shows as standard hours in basic pay then listed underneath as the additional rate for the hours worked Sunday, not 100% sure as to why but it adds up and that's all that matters. Chase up any arrears too as they should backdate to whenever you've been doing Sunday Shifts.

Re: Sunday Pay Rates
Just been chasing this up myself, the problem was Sunday was not down as a working day, hence no bonus payment. Waiting on next week's payslips now for both myself and a colleague to check for back pay. What annoys me is my colleague has been on contracted Sunday longer than myself and not once was he told he was entitled to a higher rate! I only had a hunch thanks to this site and finding the pay scale sheet.

Do people get driving allowances, collection allowances and processing/walk bundling or is it all rolled into the Delivery functional supplement?

Rates accurate if multiplying by 1.01 as of now.
driving allowances : not really anymore unless it's a large high top van
collection allowances : collection colleagues
processing/walk bundling : MC's and walk bundling centres.
The delivery supplement, is for delivery staff only. Monney is made up of old D2D monies.
The clues are in their name...
So what if someone does delivery for the first half of their shift, and collection for the last half every day?
Should they be getting the collection supplement as well as the delivery supplement because they are both a collection and delivery colleague?
Is it all that apply? Or can you only receive one supplement?

Re: Sunday Pay Rates
Interesting question, that 'someone' should get the supplement from/for their 'parent' office.nuit wrote: ↑20 Aug 2021, 21:21POSTMAN wrote: ↑29 Jul 2021, 22:23The 3 you mentioned...Racingpostie wrote: ↑29 Jul 2021, 18:20Whilst we are on the topic of pay, can anyone help me out with the Supplements on Page 3 of the Pay rate guide. I would have thought it's a delivery guy doing a collection, not a collection guy doing a delivery.
Can't see RM paying both.
Although stranger things could happen.

Re: Sunday Pay Rates
Can I ask how you went about sorting this? - I've just started on a 16-hour contract this week (Saturday and Sunday), however, the Sunday premium is not reflected in my payslip and gross pay is much lower than I expected. My onboarding has not been great and my DO Manager has been off sick since I started, so no idea where to start really. Any suggestions are appreciated!Blaine wrote: ↑20 Aug 2021, 19:47Just been chasing this up myself, the problem was Sunday was not down as a working day, hence no bonus payment. - Also I've worked Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday this week as part of my induction (so overtime) - when / how does this get reflected on the payslip?

Re: Sunday Pay Rates
So, to get the Sunday premium, it's a 2 step process. Your line manager or DOM needs to fill in an Assigned Allowances form and set your work schedule to include Sundays if it isn't already (and presumably 8 hours for you - because the premium is paid £5.83 per hour), make sure they set the start date on the form to the date you were first contracted to Sunday so that you receive all the back pay you are due. It may take some back and forth, but as long as they do the start date properly, you won't lose anything no matter how long it takes to sort out. Until this is done, your Sunday rates are just normal working day rates.newroyalty21 wrote: ↑14 Oct 2021, 07:38Can I ask how you went about sorting this? - I've just started on a 16-hour contract this week (Saturday and Sunday), however, the Sunday premium is not reflected in my payslip and gross pay is much lower than I expected. All overtime booked during a week will be paid the following week, whereas basic pay and the Sunday premium is paid for the week you receive the payslip.

Re: Sunday Pay Rates
I started in April, converted from casual, with a 5 over 7 days contract. I generally do 6 days though and work pretty much every Sunday. I get 14.88 per hour for the hours booked (so it varies). Casuals get paid for 8 hours irrespective. It appears on my payslip as SA. If it is SA, shouldn’t it be for a fixed number of hours or have I misunderstood? Thanks in advance.
