Today as a cover, doing a walk for the 3rd time two weeks in. Came in 45 minutes early, working with a part timer who came in on time.
On Saturday three of us attempted this walk for 2 people and in the end left 17 boxes of unsorted large flats, lots and lots of non-tracked packets that had been there for days. One loop also left in. 6 door2doors on that week.

This week I spent most of the morning putting in the left over large flats, and all the mail that came up today.
4 door2door contracts this week.

All we took out was 1 loop, all the tracked, specials, and did the 3 collection boxes. A few large non-tracked packets too.

Left in: 3 boxes of large flats (that had been there for days) loads of small non-tracked (that had also been there for days) and 5 long loops, some with double mail in.

After being used to completing walks for years, working fast and efficient, this revision has been one huge cockup, which will only get worse as we come up to Christmas.

Main DOM is off sick with stress, the guy I work with also incredibly stressed. Me? Quite chilled with it all. I just work the hours I want.

Exactly the same in my office mate,. Must admit I do get stressed with it all at times, feel like I want to do the best I can to get the mail done but can't.

I think they are trying to kill us.

The office was almost cleared last week but only by throwing 700 extra hours into the mix.
Apparently a director is due so it had to look good.
After 6 days I did manage to find my own parcel.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

The director should have not notified them of an upcoming visit. They should have just turned up and seen the real picture

I think our office is more busy after 3pm/4pm due to the number of agency staff we have to hire to clear the daily backlog. Obviously not literally, but there sure is a lot more of them than at this stage last year and at any time during the lockdowns.

Unfortunately that director would probably have told his superior that apart from a few niggles everything is fine, and so the big fib continues.

I’ve never known a business work like this.
The day is gonna come when we’re all gonna have to testify.

It really needs for the directors and other much higher ups to turn up at a random office with no advance warning whatsoever, but I doubt that'll ever happen

There was a letter in The Daily Telegraph last week, I think the letter writer said that she received a Special Delivery item in February, that was posted in November, where the hell had that been?

Director to Area Manager: Coming to your area next week to visit Greendale to see how things are going. Don't tell them though.
Area Manager to Greendale DOM: Sssh don't tell anyone, Director coming next week to Greendale, surprise visit don't say anything.
DOM to Lino's: Director coming surprise visit, make sure everything's shipshape!!!

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Looking at all these revisions there should be a thread naming the offices but done in a way that protects the individual reporting it as a disaster. Maybe then one of the snoopers that frequents this site screenshotting the negativity this site allegedly promotes for workplace might take note and see it for what it is "Van Share Revision 2.0" and the legacy that left people with. History seems to be repeating itself.
