Its always been the same and this time has shown this up big time! Its been embarrassing .
In years gone by the company have always got out of the mess/backlog by people doing lots of extra hours.

I can’t talk for other offices but here that won’t happen.

People have had enough - not just the disgraceful revision but things that have been festering for a while. For example, not being able to book single days off, reserves given every bank holiday as their day off and the rest of the time finding out their day off just a few days before. And now the holiday pay farce. It’s actually interesting because those who’ve come out with a decent amount now think, there’s no need to hammer the OT now. Those who’ve missed out are angry and won’t be helping out. They’ve given too much carrot to some and too much stick to the rest.

There’s an army of new starters coming in at 1pm to do parcels which might make a tiny dent but outside of residential areas they will struggle. There’s no way they’ll find rural addresses, especially with the nights drawing in.

Guess it’s time for another clear the office letter, right Simon?
The day is gonna come when we’re all gonna have to testify.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Tell the truth and the price plummets, come out with a load of bullshit and it flies!

Looking forward to the price plummeting again when the world realises what a shitstorm RM have lined up for Christmas.

I'm afraid Gal et al. will have to come back here to get another perspective. Not that they want to hear it. We're the outliers, the fringe, the crazies. The black sheep of the family. The ones who need "addressed".

(Paradoxically, we're the ones most likely to do the job right)

Funny how we're still saying the same things as before the share price dropped. Well not really. It was never about our comments even affecting it in the first place.

All revisions ( if we can call them that) pushed through desperatly regardless of the carnage its left in our offices which we have to deal with now . Sad times .

Company is doing well. The pandemic has boosted the company massively....

Hopefully the staff will be rewarded handsomely with a nice £1000+ bonus each this year.

I think I've helped towards saving the company over £2000 this year with them not delivering my round on my day off, but me instead delivering 2 days of mail the following day. Saves them a fortune and screws my body.

They've been waiting a long time for a really convincing pretext. The steady decline post-2007 wasn't alarming enough until a good crisis fell into his lap that could be thoroughly exploited.
The machine stops.
