Saga Catalogues

Post by celerycelery »

These bloody things weigh a tonne. Some of them have 4 seperate magazines inside the wrapping. Pretty much everyone who has them have the smallest of letterboxes as well :d'oh!. Would love dum's to come out and try and deliver them. Just tell us to make more bags up :arrrghhh

P739 them if they don't fit and bring them back to fill up the callers office (doing the same with Viking,Studio etc. catalogues too)

I could barely drag the packet bag round to the frame this morning only had about 20 saga's in it, one walk had about 60 all the size of a phone book and twice as heavy.
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

Is it me, or are these Saga mags getting bigger & heavier?

It's a nightmare if you have more than a couple for one street. Mind you, when I sort a tray it only takes me about 10 seconds. 7-8 mags per tray.

seems as if the bb are not used any more ? just maybe the intention is there for them to push out as many of these overweight items as you can carry

First pouch 16 kg then adhere to the matrix - don't over fill your pouch and then blame weighty items - many times we are the masters of our own downfall.

No, there should be an extra box to say that they don't want the catalogues. I personally, never tick those boxes, as they keep me in a job. I do ask them to stop sending big bulky Catalogues if they start sending them though. But sometimes, the discounts come in very handy.

They're happy, as I go to them with the vouchers, I'm happy as they're sending more Mail. It's a win, win situation (a very rere thing!). But I agree that the bulky Catalogues and Magazines can get out of hand.

Believe it or not: we often have to only part load the Trailers, when they send these things out. Because they can't take a full load of them! It just goes to show how heavy these things are, doesn't it?
They aren't the only Customers to send such heavy items through in bulk though.
