There's now way more items with 2D barcodes on them so a lot more where it'll show if it's not delivered on time

After the revision our walks cannot I repeat CANNOT be cleared daily. It's not physically possible. So if the pressure of clearing your frame every day returns, I dread to think of the standoff between the 'Workers' and 'Managers'

Round failures in double figures at my depot , it's been happening for weeks , it's nothing to do with Covid but everything to do with Royal Mail trying to scrape by on minimum staff , not replacing staff when they retire , not retaining new starters. It looked like Xmas peak in the depot this morning , failed deliveries everywhere. But the CEO at the top has his reports from middle management that everything's fine , so nothing is done about it :arrrghhh

"good will" at our office is as hard to find as fuel, most peeps starting on time now, taking their breaks and finishing on time, still working hard, going home knackered, but just lost that "pride in the job" feeling. my driver and van share partner was questioned by a manager why he was static for more than three minutes on "pda actuals" after having had his break previously, when he was waiting for me to finish my loop and move on. me, only couple of years to go till retirement, burnt out every day, (and days off) this is going to be one hell of a Christmas for colleagues, customers, and royal mail. Oh, yes i cleared my frame today, just not the office and only did it with no break because i'm off on monday. cheers.

'Simon' is not our mate

The good times have gone as far as he is concerned, the programme will show that we have been deliberately providing a s**t service, blaming Covid, for the last 18 months. When the USO comes back in we'll be up it without a paddle, we can't compete with bogus self employed parcel people unless we leave mail in the frame or bring back. It's not a level playing field.

If only they could film inside RM facilities. I wish I had taken a photo of an entire aisle in our office that didn't go out last month - though I wouldn't want to get caught taking unauthorised photos that will bring the company into disrepute. :nervous

it does surprise me that them above dont see the failures in an office....

yep all d.o.ms that ive worked under massage the figures...regularly leave mail an 2d`s in as long as trackable stuff goes

we have lalsed walks that seldom get taken out,,,late in the week an unlucky spare gets days and days of mail to take....local social media is full of complaints that we see are the lapsed walks.

why doesnt he who is in charge turn up out of the blue and see the state these managers run it...
if theres ever a visit from a suit our d.o.m goes in a spin getting everything out....but they know theres a visit planned

Did the CEO genuinely think that consistently not delivering letters and ignoring the USO was a viable longterm plan?

Or is he simply unaware of the sheer level of failures?

Far from trying to "trip you up". Posties are fed up with the driving down of the service. It's clear that managers are under pressure to meet savings targets, most offices are understaffed, vacancies haven't been filled. During Covid they got used to failing loads of mail, and concentrated on trackable products. This has continued unabated, infact it's gotten worse, at a time when we should be returning to normal, post covid.

Simon talks about trust on the doorstep and quality of service. That's what we care about too, not profits and greed, but under these circumstances, we simply don't have the capacity to provide it. And raising these issues with the employer, falls on deaf ears... what do you expect is going to happen in these circumstances...
Let's face it the CEO is just as bad if not worse than Moya and Rico. The pathetic way he treated us all through the pandemic, literally not giving a stuff about our health and safety so he and his buddies could make more profits, says it all about the guy. Then he gives us a laughable bonus for risking our lives. He is just another moron that wants to screw RM, the public and us the workers over before he gets a big pay off for his failures. Come to think of it when was the last time RM had a CEO/Leadership that actually had a clue about how to run a company and keep their staff moral high?

Believe this may have something to do with a Postman talking to journalist about the daily failures in there office, the focus from managers on parcels and Postman telling journalist there is work in office from two weeks ago.
Could be interesting

or in other words THE TRUTH!
The truth isn't allowed in royal fail. Managers tried conducting me for telling a business customer why their mail was failing or turning up massively late everyday.
You're kidding. What do they think this is, North Korea?
